Coming home

For whatever reason I am not able to load anymore pictures. The blog thing hasn't really worked out well anyways. Half of the photos I try to load have bounced back so I will wait till I get home to fill in the blanks and add more.
I am ready to come home. After almost 2 weeks of living out of my pack, sleeping on hard mattresses, taking lots of transit and living off of mostly bread and meat, ( where oh where are the veggies) Oh and to make life a bit harder here without knowing the language I have also lost most of my voice due to a cold.
I am now ready to come home to my puppies and family, my soft bed, laptop computer, my washer and dryer and my garden. Not really ready for work mode yet though lol.
I move to Lisbon tomorrow then fly out at 5am sat morning. I think with the flight time and time change I arrive in Vancouver an hour after I took off. Or something like that. See you all in Canada.

Fishing

I don't know if you can see but under the fisherpeople there are a flock of pigeons. Soon after when I road past they took off in flight. I made a bit of a noise and the fisher dudes looked up and they laughed at me cause I was steering through a flock of birds. No one died and no one got pooped on. A successful pass.

Dinner in Alfama

Didn't see or listen to any Fado music but I did get lost and saw some awesome graffiti, met some great people and enjoyed a bit too much wine and food.

Sintra

Ok, so I broke down about bought the ubber expensive sd card reader. It was either that or I buy more sd cards. And although I am happy and grateful to have this iPad to use while I am on this trip Apple makes me mad. Ok, now that it is out of my system here are some pictures :)

So today I took the train to Sintra. A small village that is on a hill. There are castles built by many different people and eras. I cruised through the Moorish Castle, which I have to say was my favorite castle.

Travel/photo hiccup

Ok ran into a little hiccup. My sd card reader doesn't work for my iPad and I wouldn't really be able to upload anything since my blog account is now in Portugese so I can't figure out what or where I am suppose to do it. So I will just tell you that I am loving Lisbon. I originally booked 2 nights but I just booked 2 more in another hostel. I spent the day on a walking tour of downtown then I crawled around a castle and now I am taking it easy before I go out for dinner.
Planning on seeing Sintra tomorrow then renting a pedal bike to see Belum the next day. Wish I could show you all the awesome photos but unless I can borrow or buy a sd reader (that is cheaper than the 29 euros apple is asking for) AND switch the Portugese back to English then you all might have to wait till I get back. Sorry for the inconvenience but I hope knowing that I am having a blast will help ease the pain :)

Getting ready

Well it's finally here.....the big day. I just checked and the temp in
Lisbon tomorrow when I arrive will be 27-30 degrees and sunny. That will
quite the shock to the current 11 degrees and rainy that my BC body is
so accustomed to. Not that I am complaining. Not at all!
More from the other side of the pond.
